brennenstuhl®Connect socket adapters - smart home without gateway or hub
brennenstuhl®Connect is the smart home programme from brennenstuhl® with intelligent, network-compatible WiFi socket outlet adapters. Such an intelligent socket outlet is also known as a smart plug or WLAN plug. They are suitable as adapters for the standard socket outlet and their technology gives it intelligence - or the devices that are connected. The WiFi adapters are therefore used like intelligent adapter plugs.

Smart Home without gateway - teach-in via the normal WLAN router
The special feature of the brennenstuhl®Connect programme is that the products function as a smart home without an additional hub or gateway. The normal WiFi router and the free brennenstuhl®Connect app are sufficient to operate the WiFi adapters.
The smart WiFi products communicate via the normal WiFi router. When connecting, just make sure to select the 2.4 GHz band of the router. However, the 2.4 GHz actually corresponds to the WLAN standard. However, some routers use a different frequency due to an automatic function. If the brennenstuhl®Connect device cannot be taught in straight away, adjusting the router settings could help.
brennenstuhl®Connect voice control
The intelligent WiFi products in the brennenstuhl®Connect programme can be set up and configured quickly and easily using the free brennenstuhl®Connect app. As already mentioned, it is not necessary to connect or set up a smart home centre such as a hub or gateway. The sockets can then also be operated by voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
